Types Of CHD

There exists a variety of congenital heart defects (CHDs) that vary in severity depending on factors such as size, location, and presence of other defects. In more serious cases of CHD, blood vessels or heart chambers may be absent, underdeveloped, or positioned incorrectly. Approximately 1 out of every 4 babies born with a CHD has a critical congenital heart defect.
